Life is Unfair

Remember the adorable 6-7 years old kid performed in Bien Nho’s production Tuyen Chon Nghe Si? His name is Chau and he was mimicking Hoai Linh in Tra No Tinh Xa where he acted like an old man. In Hay Cho Toi, he dressed like a little pimp and danced like Nguyen Hung. Of course, as cute as he is, everyone loves him. Unfortunately, his music and video are being banned in Viet Nam because he dressed and acted inappropriate for his age. Give the kid a break. Give him a damn chance. This is why kids in Viet Nam do not have opportunities. Instead of encouraging kids to do what they like, they shut them down. Meanwhile in America, Lil’ Romeo and Lil’ Pow Wow make millions rapping about girls and wearing Hip Hop baggy clothes. Oh well, life is never fair. If you can read Vietnamese, check out the article at VNExpress.

Solitude

Ms. Julia, who inspired me with her poem Your Beauty, is back and dropping some dope rhymes for Solitude, a theme I recently designed for Ngoc Lan. Not only Julia is fluent in English, she can write in French and Vietnamese as well. Wish I had half of her skills. If you’re interested in reading more of her beautiful poems, go to iLoveNgocLan.com’s poem page and check out: Beautiful Maria, If Only I Could, In The Night…, Like a Star. They all dedicated to Ngoc Lan. Isn’t Ms. Julia a greatest fan of Ngoc Lan?

Beautiful Man

Venus is a piece of artwork that caused some controversial at Vassar. Here is an issue that could debate on and on. I wanted to put in my 2 cents on their site about the work but after reading a few comments, I rather just write my comments here than getting involve. I can see why the head of the Woman Studies department were offended by the work. However, when I look at a work of art, I do not let my personal opinion interferes with the work. Instead, I focused on the aesthetic experience. It doesn’t matter if the Venus is a male or female. He/she is both beautiful in term of the form, colors, strokes and shades. It’s all about the aesthetic experience. What is your take on this one?

Cho Blows

Didn’t know Margaret Cho but I rented Notorious Cho after reading several racist hate mails toward her. Apparently, she was attacked for the remarks she made recently on MoveOn.org about the Bush Administration. Saw the clip, it was nothing serious so I would like to find out if she is truly talented or just a fat bitch with a bad mouth. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with Notorious Cho. Her jokes are simply trashy. Talking about shit in her ass is nasty. Joking about straight men on period is childish. Mocking your mama’s Chinese accent might be funny towards American but I find it annoying. Maybe they are laughing at her not with her. I didn’t find any of her jokes funny at all.

Curvaceous

Hip-hop has mad influenced on the way we look at ass. Turn on MTV or BET, bootylicious is everywhere on hip-hop videos. Thanks to J-Lo, every woman is now backing that ass up. So what happen if you don’t have an ass to back up? No need to worried, ass jobs are getting as popular as boob jobs. The advantage of having an ass job is to remove access fat from stomach, thigh, and back then reinvests it back into the butt checks where the fat should be so you will end up with a bubble ass. It’s a win/win situation. However, an ass job is not cheap (much more than a blow job for sure). It could cost up to 400k, according to Vibe magazine. Damn, I am in the wrong profession. I should become an ass doctor instead. All I need is an ass job a year. It doesn’t sound right, does it?

Anyway, I still prefer the proportional type with slim waste and some nice details. I don’t need a big ole butt. Something like these chicks is more than what I can wish for. Yeah! Those chicks are: Minh Tuyet, Ha Vy and Tam Doan performing Lien Khuc Dan Ca (Traditonal Music with new beats). They are my type of babes. Check them out!

Charlies Brown’s Hey Ya!

Spotted this groovie video a couple weeks ago but when I went back, it was taken down because of the threaten lawsuit from Peanuts. Today I am so happy to come across it again. I just have to download it on my hard-drive to watch it over and over again. Just can’t get enough of that butterfly break-down from Charlie. It’s simply “ice cold.”
