Goodbye David Nguyễn

I was shocked and disheartened to hear about the passing of David Nguyễn who lost his battle against cancer. He was so young.

I didn’t know David personally and we never met. He wrote me this message on January 15, 2012:

Hey Donny,

I’ve been following your blog for many years now. Finally was able to connect to you through facebook. I usually post on your blog as Viet, and I sent you Y Phuong’s first album a long while ago. 😊

I remembered reading his comments on Vietnamese music on this blog and continued to follow him on Facebook. He was such a sweet guy and a loving husband. My heart goes out to his family.
